doing better

It's been a better monday than last monday. Last week kind of sucked. But, we have two new girls starting at work, and I'm teaching/training one of them, so that takes up time. Even though I could use that time for important things. I love when time goes by, because it brings me closer to friday again or saturday morning, when I get to see my people :) I know that that is VERY vague, but I can't go into detail. :) I should stop smiling now. There's really nothing to smile about. I PROMISE. haha :)

discomfort.

I had a bit of the monday blues today. Just a little bit stuck in the weekend, I guess. I kept thinking about everything I did and said, and for some reason I kept wanting to hit my head against the wall.

And then, I read this blog post, and I really enjoyed what she had to say about normal life.

You will find that the biggest hurdle to overcome is the striking barrenness of normalcy. Most things in life aren’t as dramatized as we like to make them. And that’s okay. That doesn’t make them unwarranted. You aren’t failing, you aren’t lost, you aren’t struggling if things are just okay. Many days will float by just like that, and you have to learn to just comfortably be in them.

and this:

The people who are most loved and respected are usually the ones who show interest in others. True admiration does not stem from what kind of clothes someone wears, how much money their parents have, or what kind of car they drive. They are kind even though the same notion isn’t always reciprocated back to them. That is how people matter.

I want to be that person that shows interest. I try, and then I get distracted, and go back to my people. Because my people are comfortable, dang it! And I get stuck in the rut of comfort and continually have to shake myself out of it. Life is pain, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

Peace out, fo shizzle.

Of course, with pictures of John Watson (Martin Freeman).

Yes, he generally only has one expression on his face.

anticipation..

..for Friday to come and go.

..for Saturday morning 8:30 to go party/work at the new church! and to see people again. I love seeing people again. God created the week so perfectly, honestly. 5-7 days is just the right amount of time for me to start wanting to see people again. (that makes me sound like I don't see people the other 5 days, but that's not true. I see people those other 5 days, but they're not MY people. I love my people.)

..to go to church on Sunday.

..to hang out with K after church and re-watch Sherlock. We'll probably watch His Last Vow, but maybe we'll watch the Sign of Three, seeing as it was SO GOOD. You know what? we should just watch both.

..to go to Maui in March.

..to have a new niece or nephew.

..to see what CRAZY THINGS GOD HAS PLANNED FOR ME.

Of course, I kind of want to know right now what crazy things God has planned for me, but that would ruin the surprise, which would ruin the crazy, which means they wouldn't be crazy things, and I feel this is a paradox. Dang.

Anyways, I'm going to bed in about 8 minutes, and that's just enough time for me to post some pictures of Jim Halpert (John Krasinski).

Does what, you ask?

No idea.

I'm bored. Well, that's not true. Because I'm graduated, I have quite a few free evenings during the week. I can't hang out with friends on those days because they are all in university. So, I have to think of things to do in the evening, other than watch tv shows.

I can't spend all my evenings on the computer watching tv shows, because, for one: mom would get upset, for two: I would become a terribly lazy and more totally depraved person than I already am, and three: I actually don't have any REALLY good tv shows going on at the moment. Although, I have just started the Office (currently on episode 4), and am SLIGHTLY loving the jim&pam thingy.

Now, I could always read, but I have a really short attention span, and I haven't found any really good books lately. I currently have about 3 books lying by my bed, in the hope that I might find a SMIDGEON of interest in them. But, no luck so far.

Now, there is so much that I can write but I have to save it for tomorrow. And so, peace out with some pictures of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch).

I AM SO SHERLOCKED RIGHT NOW.
